It is Summer time – and it is hot outside. The perfect time to get to the beach, have a picnic in the park and enjoy the sun and fun. “You did not get up to be mediocre today” – That’s my motivational quote for the week. I rested a little bit this weekend and started to work on some new dresses for the upcoming Millennium Dancesport Championships in New Orleans later this month. One of the materials I am currently working with is Silk. I love how luxurious it feels even so it is quite delicate to handle but I fell in love with the shiny soft consistency and the cool and ultra light feeling.

It is perfect for hot summer days like now – it will keep you cool and it looks so elegant which I love. The look book is inspired by silky materials and little additions like candles, nail polish and scents that make you feel luxurious.

I wish you a great start into the new week and encourage you to indulge into a little luxury… what is your guilty luxurious pleasure?

I am having a very busy day judging People’s Choice Dancesport Championships in Arizona today, but I had to quickly bring you this post because Nordstrom has it’s half yearly sale and I found some of the best buys out there for you. Look at those shoes, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik….. on sale!!! It does not get much better than that.

Those are my picks, light and summery pieces you can easily dress up or dress down.
