Everybody needs a break sometimes. Living in a big city can have it’s moments… traffic, hectic schedules, all of the excitement of LA can get exhausting at times. This weekend is perfect for my private little staycation at home. I am enjoying it so much, I feel I am resting and recharging and my mind can get a break from all the constant hustle and bustle and activity. Here is what I like to do on a real day off:

  1. Wear Comfortable Clothes – this is the time for loose, cozy, comfy outfits.
  2. Leave your to do list alone. Save it for later. It’s your time to unwind. While decluttering a cupboard or putting your desk in order might be enjoyable and necessary, I leave big projects or work alone and save it for later.
  3. Let someone else do the cooking. I do enjoy to cook but on a day like this I enjoy to have someone else do the job and order a takeout or have food delivered.
  4. Read a book or go for an online trip on your I-pad to explore something that interests you. Or maybe you just want to browse some magazines and relax.
  5. Create a clam and peaceful environment. Get brand new bedsheets, a new scented candle, lots of pillows….. and let yourself unwind.
  6. Movie time! Have a movie marathon or binge on your favorite TV show. Find movies or TV shows you always wanted to watch and binge watch it. Or re – watch your old favorites again…
  7. Take a long nap – get some rest – we are all a little sleep deprived. By doing so you will get rejuvenated and feel much better.
  8. Take a walk and breathe some fresh air. Smell the flowers and enjoy the weather.
  9. Spend some time by yourself, turn your phone off and let your thoughts quiet down.
  10. Take a long relaxing bath and pamper yourself. Turn your bathroom into a spa oasis, have a face mask, light candles and enjoy the peace and quiet.

What is your favorite staycation activity? Please share! xoxo BB (Steiner Leisure Limited)

The perfect bath

One of my favorite things to do when I feel I need to recharge is treating myself to a bath.  It can feel like pure luxury and it helps me to unwind, soothe sore muscles and it helps to warm up if it is cold outside. It becomes my own private Spa Oasis. After a busy day this is the perfect retreat, I want to share some tips with you on how to make your experience truly luxurious. I picked some products for you – I thought you probably like them as well.

You can just order those items here and they get shipped right to your doorstep. That means again less errands and more time to enjoy  and to recharge ?

Here are my tips on how to enjoy the perfect bath at home:

1) CREATE A SOOTHING ENVIRONMENT

I love love love candles, especially if they smell good. So to set the mood I place candles in the bathroom and dim the light.

You can add some fun bubbles to your bath or use a bath bomb. Bath Oils and Essential oils will moisturize your skin and can be used for aromatherapy. If you have sore muscles, the best cure is honey or bath salts.

Now it is time to pamper yourself. You can use a face mask, a hair treatment or a sugar scrub.

You want to keep the bliss to continue once you stepped out of the bath! Wrap yourself into a luxurious towel or bath robe to continue your spa experience

Now is the perfect time to give your skin an extra moisture boost. Your skin will act like a sponge and absorb as much as possible.

So what beauty items do you like? Have you tried some of these ? Tell me about it, I would love to hear!
