Staying Youthful with L’Occitane

A couple of weeks ago I turned 45…. time flies… I vividly remember my 30th Birthday, I had the same thought… “It’s not so bad..”.. And honestly it is not as long as you keep embracing changes as you go along and practice kindness – especially to yourself.

In my forties I felt the most significant changes so far – my body just feels different and has different needs than before. The same goes for my skin. It needs more care and attention than 15 years ago.

I was very excited to get the opportunity to work with L’Occitane and to review their newest products, The Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum and the Immortelle Divine Cream.

I used the Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum at nighttime. It helps the skin recover overnight from my everyday life. My skin felt irritated and dry and the serum was like a healing potion that made my skin feel smooth and soft again. My skin looked rested in the morning and it gives it a satin like and smooth finish.

For Daytime I used the Immortelle Divine Cream who helps fight visible signs of aging. It is a rich but lightweight cream that gets absorbed by the skin but leaves a youthful glow. It has a subtle herbal smell that relaxes and soothes when you apply it. My skin also feels plumper and fine lines have faded, producing a more even complexion.

I absolutely love both products, it really rescued my skin from dryness and irritation and made it feel soft, plump and glowing again.

Thank you so much to L’Occitane for bringing you this post,

Happy Weekend!

I am super busy with getting ready to launch my new T-shirts on ShopBabetteBrown.com tomorrow, but I had to make time for a post and this cute Bikini I got from Zaful c/o. I love to shoot fashion, but a Bikini in my mid 40ies…. well I had to think about this for a minute.

But then I remembered my T-shirts – one of my favorite quotes is on one of them – “No one is You and that is your Power”.

So I said to myself – so what – let’s do this. I guess accepting and loving ourselves is a journey, I always wanted smaller hips, but we can wish all we want, all we do is worry about something we can’t change and that never has been a great idea. Fashion comes and goes, what stays is you. Let’s celebrate YOU for a change!

This is to all of us ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes, let’s start with feeling good about ourselves! Because “NO ONE IS YOU AND THAT IS YOUR POWER”!

Thanks for visiting me here, sending you all my love,

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!

I had a day to myself today and I enjoyed it very much and also needed it after all the traveling and excitement of the last couple of weeks. I took some time to go out into the beautiful California nature, I can’t get enough of the amazing view of the Malibu Mountains.

On a day off like today I try to unplug from all the hustle and bustle and worries of daily life and I am looking for peace. I am looking to check in with myself, my emotional wellbeing and my sense of acceptance and gratefulness.

I reflect about my goals, reframe negative thoughts into positive ones, focus on what I am grateful for and work on acceptance so I don’t worry about things I have actually no control over.

I hope you are having a great start into the new week – I am sending  some love and peace your way, keep me posted how it goes!

Thank you for visiting me here, it means a lot,
